The “Green Star” application aims to “protect the environment, improve environmental awareness, encourage environmentally friendly construction and business features in touristic accommodation establishments”.<\/p>\n

The studies carried out to obtain the Environmentally Sensitive Accommodation Facility Certificate benefit the facility, the region where the facility is located, the economy of the region, the country’s economy and nature. In addition, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism supports and encourages businesses to obtain an Environment Friendly Accommodation Facility certificate. In the Official Gazette dated September 6, 2013, the decision on the implementation of the “Decision on Electricity Support for Enterprises with Environmentally Sensitive Accommodation Facility Certificate” was published.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    How to Obtain a Green Star Certificate?<\/span><\/div><\/header>

    1. The file prepared is submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.<\/li>\n
    2. The file is evaluated by the Ministry.<\/li>\n
    3. Application file;\n
        \n
      • If it is not found suitable, it is returned with justification.<\/li>\n
      • If found appropriate, the day is determined.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • During the audit, the scope of the notification, criteria and scoring principles are checked.<\/li>\n
      • \u00a0An “Environmentally Friendly Accommodation Facility Certificate” (Green Star) is issued to the facilities that are found appropriate by collecting sufficient points as a result of the inspection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>

        • The company’s environmental policy and action plan, reports containing all the activities carried out in line with this plan.<\/li>\n
        • Information belonging to the natural or legal person who will implement the action plan in the facility.<\/li>\n
        • Information and documents, documents regarding the training provided to the staff to ensure the implementation of the action plan.<\/li>\n
        • Environmentally friendly wastewater plan, relevant administrative letter on this subject.<\/li>\n
        • Records and maintenance reports that preventive maintenance and repair of all installations, equipment and equipment used in the enterprise are made periodically.<\/li>\n
        • Reports that the business uses and monitors data on energy consumption for water, heating and cooling, electricity consumption and general energy consumption (energy consumption per m2 of indoor space or energy consumption per night) monthly, quarterly and annual reports.<\/li>\n
        • Reports showing that the chemicals used in the business (by volume or weight) are monitored and data are collected (energy consumption per m2 closed area or
